"The Hillspring congregation established Tri-Cities Community Connections (TCCC) in 2008 to extend its outreach beyond the church community. Although TCCC now operates as an independent organization, we maintain a strong and collaborative partnership with our founding group."
COMING THIS FALL SEWING CENTER
🧵 Sewing‑Center Partnership for Economic Opportunity
Kennewick First United Methodist Church (KFUMC), with a legacy of fostering community growth in downtown Kennewick since 1902 has joined forces with Tri‑Cities Community Connections (TCCC) — a nonprofit launched in 2008 by Hillspring Church — to catalyze economic development via a Sewing Center.
What the Sewing Center Aims to Do
Skill development: Offer classes at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels.
Economic pathway: Equip participants (especially from East Kennewick and East Pasco) with competencies to earn income through sewing — for personal profit, small businesses, or collaborative ventures.
Community investment: Build local expertise and entrepreneurship through accessible, structured training.
TCCC plans to launch the first Sewing Center in 2025, aligning with their mission to promote educational and economic progress in underserved neighborhoods
